Sales Development Representative

At Permission Click, we would be nothing without our successful sales team. We’re seeking a youthful and energetic sales development representative to help find, develop and create new business opportunities for our sales team to sell District Edition products and services to K-12 school districts across North America. As the ideal candidate, you are ambitious, motivated and have a keen interest in building a sales career with a young and growing technology company. You are a quick learner, process oriented, organized and able to effectively assess the potential in all prospective customer interactions.

Objectives of this Role

  • Source prospects and develop new business opportunities for our sales team
  • Sell to a select group of small to medium sized accounts within our team based setting
  • Communicate to generated leads within a set timeline
  • Work directly with our Sales team to pass along qualified opportunities
  • Internally coordinate the leads you develop
  • Design, implement, and optimize the SDR process to maximize its effectiveness
  • Develop a strong understanding of our prospects through solution selling techniques
  • Consistently meet and/or exceed metrics as defined by the Sales Leadership Team

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Consistent daily, outbound lead generation and pipeline building activities
  • Identify, qualify, and prioritize appropriate prospects
  • Coordinate setting of appointments and referral of qualified prospects to the district sales executives
  • Where appropriate, make effective qualifying sales calls, product demonstrations, and manage sales cycle to close new business
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with the sales team, as well as prospective customers
  • Build and maintain in-depth product knowledge to effectively conduct qualifying conversations

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Recent post-secondary degree or equivalent
  • Ability to be coached, trained and mentored toward a successful software sales career
  • Excellent time management skills and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of market research, sales, and negotiating principles
  • Strong business writing skills
  • Desire to grow with within an organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in technology sales or lead generation
  • Ability to balance persuasion with professionalism
  • Remote working experience, or strong evidence you’re built to thrive in a remote working environment
  • Strong skills in Google Apps and spreadsheets

Job Type

Full time, term position to March 31, 2022; with the possibility of transitioning to permanent full time employment.

Contract length: 9 months
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Schedule: 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday
