December 8-9, Minneapolis, MN

It may be snowy outside, and the roads may be icy with Christmas officially two weeks away, but that didn’t stop Permission Click and dozens of other companies and over 3500 educators from Minnesota and its surrounding states from filling the Hyatt Regency Exhibit Hall for the 34th annual TIES Conference this past Monday and Tuesday. The conference draws a big crowd for good reason. With over 350 best practice breakouts sessions, an impressive list of keynote speakers, and over 100 exhibitor booths, it is an outstanding opportunity for educators and exhibitors to learn about the latest and greatest in technology.

It was Permission Click’s first time attending and the team was (very appreciative to have been) assigned Booth #1. The team spent two days interacting with educators and administrators to learn about their roles, their headaches, and how each school and district has its own unique challenges with process etc. In the end, running school events is undoubtedly a commonly dreaded task for teachers and administrators. But it doesn’t have to be. Running school events can be easy, and if organizing them can be easy, it means more fun can be had by everyone.

The attendees we had a chance to interact with were largely thrilled to learn about Permission Click and how it can it can help them save time, communicate more effectively with parents, and save some paper in the process! Getting enough time and attention from educators is a challenge for education tech companies, even at conferences. Though when it happens, a genuine engaged ear can be magic. But it all starts with the organization of the event. The energy and enthusiasm from the TIES staff never dwindled. They set the tone, and it was reflected in the open-minded and enterprising outlook from the attendees. It was Permission Click’s first time at the conference, and safe to say it won’t be the last.

 #TIES15 (too soon?! 😉
